Thinking About Fall

I love season changes. It's funny how the change in temperature can lead to so many other changes. Fall has been around for a month, but the weather here has been warmer than normal. It has taken me longer to gear up for the upcoming holidays. However, my mood for pumpkin shaped, colored, and flavored items has increased. How could anyone miss the onslaught of pumpkin flavored everything? I have tried to limit my pumpkin indulgences to pie, cake, and the occasional shaped cookie.
My home decor begins to change. I look forward to bringing out my blankets, sweaters, and fuzzy slippers. I like Halloween, but I prefer to decorate for the whole season with a sprinkling of jack o'lanterns and black cats. For my fall decor I use more brown and orange textiles, such as burlap, varying shapes and sizes of pumpkins or gourds, nuts in the shell, and leafs or hay bales.

About Red House Workshop

Red House Workshop is the creative division of Johnson Upholstery & Furniture Service, LLC. Managed by Adrianne Johnson, spouse of Brian A. Johnson, owner and expert upholsterer.  Together they collaborate on ideas for Red House Workshop, creating up-cycled items such as bags made from old jeans and side cuts from upholstery work. They use new materials like burlap for pillow covers and Christmas stockings adding in printed burlap as requested by customers. They utilize furniture found at yard sales, side of the road, church sales, and second hand stores and rehab it into functioning and updated pieces for interiors.
